My stay was disappointing. The initial room had unclean conditions, including a dirty toilet. The second room offered no improvement, with a sticky floor and cramped bathroom. Staff struggled with key deactivation. I recommend checking other nearby options for better accommodations.

The linens were all fresh and clean.
My stay was disappointing due to the old and dirty furniture. The rooms were dingy and dated, making me feel uncomfortable. Additionally, the carpets were filthy, which greatly affected my overall experience.

clean cottage, outdoor seating, good shower
More storage space is a must!!! The bathroom layout needs serious rethinking, and fixing the musty smell in the rooms would improve comfort!!! End tables should be actual furniture, not dinner trays!!!

Staying at Brookside Inn & Cottages was a great experience. Clean and tidy accommodations made me feel at home. Loved how easy the check-in process was. Only wish the curtains were thicker for better darkness at night. Overall a cozy stay!

would have extended the stay.
The king room with bathtub was super comfy, and the hot shower was a treat! Everything was clean and well-maintained. Check-in and check-out were smooth, and the large refrigerator was handy. Plus, the owner was really accommodating when we had to reschedule last minute. Enjoyed easy access to nearby stores and the outdoor swimming pool looked inviting!

Loved the king size bed! 🛏️ Super comfy and the hot shower was refreshing. The only downside was the room's heating system was a bit noisy at night.

great spot for easy access to local parks and attractions
I loved how comfortable the cottage was, and being able to relax outside was a nice touch. It's just a short stroll to Shevenell Park and less than a 5-minute walk to several dining options made my stay even more enjoyable. the only downside was that it could use a bit more storage space in the room.

The Standard Queen Room with Shower clearly needs some serious updates, including a bizarre closet-to-bathroom conversion with no light—leaving the door open just to see isn’t ideal. The sink being located in the bedroom is unsettling, and the lack of space in the bathroom makes it awkward for basic needs. On top of that, the floor was dusty and not well cleaned, which is a bummer when you expect a bit of cleanliness. Overall, the ambiance felt a bit stale, likely due to old carpets that smell like cigarettes—definitely not great if you’re sensitive to odors.
